Mission 10

The Cult of Sanity

Mersus hosts a subdivision of the religion Sanity that leans into their cult-ish stereotype. The cult is run by Scylla, a siren who has her claws dug in every inch of the town. The cult was collecting triton blood for their ritual. They believe they're doing a ritual to summon their god but they're actually doing a ritual to expand the abyssal vent that they live above.

Paradise Care

The cadets find an abandon Paradise Care and inside, information about a parent company called 'Abyssal Inc'. It looks like some kind of therapy office. Multiple rooms with couches, chairs, and comforting decor. It seems like any information about what they do here has been wiped clean.

Cut Scene

We cut to a scene in a rustic cabin in the middle of a snow storm. You see two people talking, Saturn and a familiar looking man, the owner of Dark Comet on Ora beach. The man is sitting at a dining table while saturn sits perched on top of the table itself. He stares listlessly at Saturn, looking dazed and not all there.

S: Thank you so much for doing this Adam; I really appreciate it.

A: No.. problem.. Anything else ya’ need?

S: No, I do believe that's everything, thank you. Enjoy your trophy while it lasts and i'll come back later to collect it. You've done marvelous work. I'm very impressed little rook.

A: thank… you..

Saturn stands up and heads towards the door. Adam seems to shake himself off.

A: Are ya’ crazy!? You can't go out there in weather like that!

Saturn turns around to look at Adam, a smug smirk spreading across their face

S: Oh please, don't tell me what I can and can't do. Safe travels Adam, you’re gonna need it soon.

And with that Saturn disappears out the door into the storm.

Mission 11

Research Notes

Abyssal Vents can open anywhere, especially common in the vicinity of… ??? something, i know it's something but i cant see the pattern, they still show up in plenty of other places but they're bigger on other planets, why??
Anyone who dares enter them can be sure they’ll never return. They're cold, dark, and feel like your skin is crawling from the eyes. They never talk about the feeling of being watched, hunted.
I also noticed in some ancient hieroglyphics and paintings that there are words left behind, clues towards something greater. I haven’t visited enough places in the universe to find what it all means and I lost my magnifying glass so that's the end of that trail unless I make another one. Highly unlikely, that glass was almost impossible to find. A pity, I was going to check the north reach church later today as well but maybe this was a sign from the universe to not get caught in whatever spiral lies ahead.
Maybe my research would be greatly benefited if I could just find a way across Lost-Rock. Maybe they have answers I could never dream of and all of this could be finished with a nice bow. Although that's always a risk with this rampant of blight running around. We’re lucky to be so isolated that the only risk of infection is from whatever comes out of this damn vent. If there was just some way to close it or seal it off…
[they also find a locked rectangular box, in it is a cushion that has a magnifying glass shaped indent]

Saturn Information

Saturn shows up on one of the center heads of the Hydra, making it stop attacking the party while they talk. Void offers to close it the Abyssal vent [and revive a dead party member], in exchange for the group to not attack them just for today. They also mention ‘The Orbital Spiral’, the planets that orbit the ORBIT base and later, the grop finds an updated version of the map in their pockets, one that does not match the ORBIT history books.

Mission 12

Paxite

Paxite is a powerful crystal that amplifies anything. From fields of crops, to illness, Paxite can do it all. It comes from the planet Pax, a small dwarf planet in the middle of nowhere. It caused great conflict between the City of Jurr and the tabaxis of Water Point, who were the ones to orginally find the crystals.

Mission 13

Residents of Alacris

Alacris, once a bustling vacation planet, is now ruined by the blight. The residents are experiencing a variety of symptoms that vary in severity, including but not limited to: coughing up black blood, constantly shivering, loss of memory, and pure white feathers among their usual pitch black. The residents claim either a storm, a monster, or a person came and brought the blight upon their planet. They also blame ORBIT for not coming when they needed help when they helped in the past with the cube. It stopped working so they threw it in the cave system, hoping that the monsters that lurked in there would take care of it.

Mercury's Blueprints

Alongside an empty coat rack, a crescent moon necklace, the group finds blueprints written by Mercury for something that includes Paxite. It's unfortunately written in code that is unreadable but based off the drawings, it seems incredibly complex and very well crafted.
